By God's mercy & grace I hope this to be my first of many blogs to share with you all.
We Took an Oath
God bless you all today and welcome, it is a true honor & pleasure to share a word with you. This afternoon I preached a live message entitled "We took an Oath" I felt to expand and share some more scripture and thoughts based on the topic "we took an oath". 1 Peter 1:15-16 says: 15 But as he which hath called you is holy, so be ye holy in all manner of conversation; 16 Because it is written, Be ye holy; for I am holy. Now it is very clear we all fall short of the glory of God and Holiness here on this Earth would be a very hard task for us to accomplish, but there is such a thing called "Stride toward Holiness" John 4:24 God is spirit, and his worshipers must worship in the Spirit and in truth. I spoke today about Arrons two sons that was raised and hand picked by God to be in charge of the worship, & offering etc. Unfortunately their ministry was cut short because they neglected their oath with God. Romans 12 12 I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that you present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable to God, which is your reasonable service. 2 And do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, that you may prove what is that good and acceptable and perfect will of God.
I share these scritpues with you with the importance of a standard and blueprint the Lord has established since the beginning of time and still should be sought after. Having just the "form of godliness" just won't cut it with a God that makes it very clear, what he expects of us. John 3:16 is a well-known Bible verse that states, "For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life" Yes I know we all have heard this scripture but the question is "Just how much does it mean to you?" While you and I have many acquaintances, Jesus had one that the Bible speaks about and it's name is "Grief" Jesus, according to Isaiah 53, “was despised and rejected—a man of sorrows, acquainted with deepest grief” While many preachers today seek reward, fame, applause, recogintion etc, Jesus's reward was the cross. And it was for you and I. The oath some of us made with the Lord has been abandoned and replaced with deception & man made reward. Man loves attention and they love to love themselves, just read what the sriptures say: 2 Timothy ch3 1-5. 1 This know also, that in the last days perilous times shall come. 2 For men shall be lovers of their own selves, covetous, boasters, proud, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, unholy, 3 Without natural affection, trucebreakers, false accusers, incontinent, fierce, despisers of those that are good, 4 Traitors, heady, highminded, lovers of pleasures more than lovers of God; 5 Having a form of godliness, but denying the power thereof: from such turn away. I pray this short blog has ministered to your life and you decide to give your life to the Lord, I mean really completely give you heart to the Lord. embed this word into your heart and be a doer of the word of God and not just a hearer! Make that oath, keep it, live it, and He will never leave you nor forsake you. God bless you and to God be all the glory. I will be posting a new blog weekly. Please share with others if you think someone else needs a word from the Lord.
